Updates From Dad

iphone backup 6_28_2013 050We are so pleased to be building a family to family support network.  The ARC of the Piedmont and VCU’s Center for Family Involvement are actively supporting our efforts.  Just as we have been blessed to have a DS support group of loving friends and mentors like Robyn, we now seek to serve in a similar role for other families who are seeking to navigate the challenging terrain of supporting and educating a child with a disability.  This is truly a labor of love for us.

I have just created a Facebook page for the Family to Family network.  We intend for this to be an active site where many ideas and inspirations are shared.  If you do not feel like posting publicly, please send Jill and me a message, and we will respond and help however we can.

We are looking forward to this new adventure in advocacy and in helping others and ourselves create interconnected lives of mutual support.
